Salon Design Solutions – Warranty Policy

Salon Design Solutions provides a warranty for products purchased within New Zealand. The warranty period commences from the date shown on your invoice.

This warranty applies to products that have a manufacturing or material defect and is not the result of normal wear and tear, misuse, or the natural characteristics of the materials used.

This warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

Warranty Coverage

12 Months Parts & Labour – All Products
Salon Design Solutions will repair or replace any product or component found to have a manufacturing defect within 12 months of purchase, including both parts and labour.

2 Years Parts Only – All Products (excluding electrical components)
For a period of 2 years from the date of purchase, Salon Design Solutions will supply replacement parts for products with manufacturing defects. Labour and associated costs are not included beyond the initial 12-month period.

Warranty Conditions

  • Warranty applies to products used under normal commercial salon conditions

  • Products must be installed and maintained correctly

  • Any alterations or modifications by the user will void the warranty

  • Warranty claims must include proof of purchase

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect

  • Damage caused by chemicals (including hair dyes, acetone, or cleaning products)

  • Cuts, burns, or staining to upholstery

  • Improper installation or handling

  • Freight damage not reported at delivery

Returns, Refunds & Installation Conditions

These terms are outlined in our Terms of Trade and are provided at the time of quoting.

Faulty items covered under warranty will be repaired, replaced, or refunded in accordance with this policy and applicable New Zealand law.

Salon Design Solutions does not offer sale and return for change-of-mind purchases. However, at the discretion of the company, returns may be accepted where:

  • Prior approval has been obtained

  • Goods are returned in original packaging

  • Items are in unused, good condition suitable for resale

  • Return freight is arranged and paid by the purchaser

All approved returns are subject to inspection. Where accepted, a refund will be issued less a 15% restocking fee.
